Premier Soccer League announced that Gaston Sirino was found guilty for assaulting two SuperSport United football club players, Dean Furman and Clayton Daniels.
The Mamelodi Sundowns jersey number 10 player contravened NSL Rule 54.3.13. Sirino was found guilty for elbowing Clayton Daniels and also slapping Dean Furman in a MTN 8 semi-final second leg match at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 18 September 2019.
Mamelodi Sundowns were also found guilty for bringing the league into disrepute.
Gaston Sirino’s punishment :
Gastón Sirino is ordered to serve a two-match suspension.
Gastón Sirino is also ordered to pay a fine of R75 000 of which R25 000 is suspended for a period of 24 months on condition that he is not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.
Mamelodi Sundowns punishment :
Mamelodi Sundowns are ordered to pay a fine R200 000 of which R150 000 is suspended for a period of 24 months on condition that they are not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.
Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Gastón Sirino are ordered to pay the several sittings of the Disciplinary Committee.
