Ajax Cape Town Football Club has been renamed to Cape Town Spurs Football Club.

The reasons for renaming is because Ajax Amsterdam sold all its shares back to Cape Town Spurs who are now one hundred percent owners and it was the end of the twenty one years partnership with the Western Cape GladAfrica Championship side.
