Yasser Ibrahim restored the lead for the Pharoahs. Egypt went into the extra-time halftime break leading by 2-1. Mohamed Salah added the third goal and also sealed the win for the Pharaohs in the dying minutes of the second half of the extra-time. With this match result, Egypt are through to the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and Benin have been eliminated at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
