Peter Shalulile opened the scoring for the Brazilians. Camren Dansin levelled matters for the Buccaneers and it was his first goal for the club. Both goals of the match were scored in the first half. With this match result, Mamelodi Sundowns ended the six-match Betway Premiership winning streak of Orlando Pirates and other hand the Buccaneers also ended the two-match winning streak of the Brazilians in all competitions.
