Both sides went into the halftime break levelled at 0-0. Isaac Cisse opened the scoring for the hosts. Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo equalized for the visitors. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa took the lead for the first time in this match through Sekela Sithole. Nqobeko Dlamini levelled matters for Abafana Bes’thende and his goal took the match to extra-time. The scoreline remained unchanged on extra-time and the went into penalties. Marumo Gallants won 4-2 on penalties. With this match result, Marumo Gallants are through to the final of the 2025 Carling Knockout Cup and Lamontville Golden Arrows have been eliminated in the cup competition.
