An own goal by Sbonelo Cele opened the scoring for the Rockets. An own goal by MacBeth Mahlangu levelled matters for the hosts. Both sides went into the halftime break levelled at 1-1. The scoreline remained unchanged in the second half and the match went into extra-time. Ayabulela Maxwele netted a winner for Abafana Bes’thende in the first half of the extra-time. With this match result, Lamontville Golden Arrows are through to the semi-finals of the 2025 Carling Knockout Cup and TS Galaxy registered their sixth defeat of the season in all competitions.
