University of the Western Cape crowned 2024 COSAFA Women’s Champions League champions after defeating Gaborone United 8-9 on penalties at Mpira Stadium.

Both sides went into halftime break levelled at 0-0. Noxolo Cesane opened the scoring for the South African side. Laone Moloi levelled matters for the Batswana side and her goal took the match to extra-time. The scoreline remained unchanged on extra-time. University of the Western Cape won 9-8 on penalties. With this match result, UWC crowned 2024 COSAFA Women’s Champions League champions and the South African side also qualified for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
