Steeve Yago opened the scoring for the Stallions. Andre Onana’s own goal double the lead for the Stallions. Burkina Faso went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Djibril Ouattara tripled the lead for the Stallions. Stephane Bahoken reduced the deficit for the Indomitable Lions. Victor Aboubakar further reduced the deficit for the Indomitable Lions. Vincent Aboubakar completed his brace and also levelled matters for the Indomitable Lions. Cameroon won 5-3 on penalties. With this match result, Cameroon are the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medalists.
