The hosts took the lead for the first time in this match through Rankoko Tau. Keegan Allan equalized for visitors through the penalty spot and took the match to extra-time. Wonderboy Makhubu restored the lead for AmaTuks on the first half of the extra-time and it was his first goal for the club. Gerald Takwara levelled matters for the hosts through the penalty spot and also took the match to penalties. University of Pretoria won 4-3 on penalties. With this match result, Venda Football Academy are now winless in their last four matches in all competitions.
