Quwan Plaatjies opened the scoring for the Maroons and it was his first goal for the club. Quwan Plaatjies doubled the lead for the hosts. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Quwan Plaatjies completed his hat-trick and also tripled the lead for the Maroons. Thapelo Dhludhlu pulled one back for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa. With this match result, Stellenbosch FC registered their first Betway Premiership victory of the season and Phuti Mohafe registered his first defeat as the head coach of Marumo Gallants.
