An own goal by Jerome Karelse opened the scoring for the Citizens. Sede Junior Dion levelled matters for Abafana Bes’thende. Both goals of the match were scored on the first half. With this match result, Gavin Hunt registered his first draw as the head coach of Durban City FC and Lamontville Golden Arrows are now unbeaten in their last two matches.

Chippa United 1-4 TS Galaxy, Buffalo City Stadium
Khaya Mfecane opened the scoring for the Chilli Boyz. Puso Dithejane equalized for the visitors. Both sides went into halftime break levelled at 1-1. The Rockets took the lead for the first time in this match through Mlungisi Mbunjana. Puso Dithejane added the third goal for the visitors. Puso Dithejane completed his hat-trick and also sealed the win for the Rockets. With this match result, TS Galaxy registered their first victory this season and Chippa United have now lost back to back matches for the first time this season.
