Moses Mthembu opened the scoring for the hosts. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Wandile Ngema doubled the lead and also sealed the win for the Natal Rich Boys in the second half. With this match, Richards Bay FC ended their four-match winless run in all competitions and AmaZulu FC registered their sixth defeat of the season in all competitions.
