Peter Shalulile restored the lead for the visitors. Themba Zwane completed his brace and also increased the lead for the Brazilians. Lebohang Maboe extended the lead for the visitors. Kermit Erasmus ended the show for the Brazilians. Four goal were scored on the second half by the South African side. With this match result, Kennedy Mweene kept his first clean sheet this season for Mamelodi Sundowns after coming in as a sub at the beginning of the second for the injured Denis Onyango.
