Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring for the Club of Patriotism. Mohamed Sherif completed his brace and also doubled the lead for the hosts. Tony Edjomariegwe reduced the deficit for the visitors. The home went into the halftime break leading by 2-1. Elsamani Saadeldin levelled matters for the Chief. An own goal by Mustafa Karshou secured the three points for the Club of Patriotism. With this match result, Al Ahly SC ended the four matches unbeaten run of Al Merrikh SC in all competitions.
