Lamine Camara opened the scoring for the Lions of Teranga. Senegal went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Philani Mkhontfo levelled matters for Isihlangu Semnekati on the second half and sent the penalties. Senegal won 10-9 on penalties.
South Africa 0-0 Mozambique, King Zwelithini Stadium
Both sides failed to find the back of the net after ninety minutes of play. Mozambique won 5-4 on penalties. With this match result, Lincoln Vyver and Hernani Seluane kept a clean sheet for South Africa and Mozambique, respectively.
