Siphilisiwe Ndlovu opened the scoring for the Eswatini side. Celiwe Nkambule doubled the lead for the Eswatini side. Young Buffaloes went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Siphilisiwe Ndlovu tripled the lead for the Eswatini side. Siphilisiwe Ndlovu completed her hat-trick and also sealed the win for the Eswatini side. With this match result, Young Buffaloes won their first COSAFA Women’s Champions League match.
Gaborone United 3-2 Ascent Academy, Mpira Stadium
Faith Chinzimu opened the scoring for the Malawian side. Keitumetse Dithebe equalized for the Batswana side. Alephar Chimbeta restored the lead for the Malawian side. Ascent Academy went into halftime leading by 2-1. Jessica Maponga levelled matters for Batswana side. Laone Moloi netted a winner for Batswana side. With this match result, Gaborone United and Young Buffaloes are through to the semi-finals of the 2024 COSAFA Women’s Champions League, UD Lichinga and Ascent Academy have been eliminated.
