Donisia Minja opened opened the scoring for the Twiga Stars. Enekia Lunyamila doubled the lead for the defending champions. Tanzania went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Enekia Lunyamila completed her brace and sealed the win for the Twiga Stars on the second half. With this match result, Zulfa Makau kept a clean sheet for Tanzania.

Wezzi Mvula opened opened the scoring for the She-Flames. Gaonyadiwe Ontlametse levelled for the Mares. Both goals were scored on the first half. With this match result, the first draw of the 2022 COSAFA Women’s Championship was registered.
