Mervin Boji opened the scoring for the Stellies reserves. Roy-Keane Avontuur doubled the lead for the Stellies reserves. Stellenbosch FC went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Siphesihle Ngcobo pulled one back for the Team of Choice reserves.

Tendamudzimu Matodzi opened the scoring for Matsatsantsa reserves. Aden McCarthy levelled matters for Amakhosi reserves. Amakhosi reserves took the lead for the first time in this match through Wandile Duba. Wandile Duba completed his brace and extended the lead for Amakhosi reserves. Kaizer Chiefs went into the halftime break leading by 3-1. Tendamudzimu Matodzi completed his brace and also reduced the deficit for Matsatsantsa reserves. Puso Dithejane sealed the win for Amakhosi reserves.
