Surprise Ralani opened the scoring for the Brazilians. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Jose Ali Meza levelled for the Team of Choice on the second half. With this match result, Mamelodi Sundowns fall short of breaking their own record of the most DStv Premiership points (71) in a single season which was set by Pitso Mosimane in 2015/16 season.
