Oswin Appollis opened the scoring for the visitors. Oswin Appollis completed his brace and also doubled the lead for the Rise and Shine. The away side went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Ayabulela Konqobe pulled one back for the Chilli Boyz on the second half. Polokwane City FC ended their six matches winless run in all competitions.

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo netted a winner for Amakhosi on the first half. With this match result, Kaizer Chiefs have now won three consecutive matches for the first time this season.
