An own goal by Fortune Makaringe opened the scoring for the hosts. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Gamphani Lungu doubled the lead and also sealed the important victory for Matsatsantsa on the second half through the penalty spot. With this match result, SuperSport United and Royal AM have qualified for the MTN8 and CAF Confederation Cup next season, respectively.
