Ricardo Nascimento opened the scoring for the hosts through the penalty spot on the first half. Gift Motupa sealed the win for the Brazilians on the second half and it was his first goal for the club. With this match result, Denis Onyango kept his 15th DStv Premiership clean sheet this season for Mamelodi Sundowns and he also equaled the club record for keeping the most clean sheets in a single season.
