Nuno Santos opened the scoring for the hosts. An own goal by Ronwen Williams levelled matters for the visitors. Both sides went into the halftime break levelled at 1-1. Nuno Santos completed his brace and also sealed netted a winner for the Brazilians in the second half. With this match result, Mamelodi Sundowns crowned 2026 FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup champions.
