Aitana Bonmati opened the scoring for the La Roja. An own goal by Laia Codina levelled matters for the La Nati. Alba Redondo restored the lead for the La Roja. Aitana Bonmati completed her brace and also added the third goal for the La Roja. Laia Codina added the fourth goal for the La Roja. Spain went into the halftime break leading by 4-1. Jennifer Hermoso added the fifth goal and sealed the win for the La Roja on the second half. With this match result, Spain are through the the quarter-final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
