Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring for the White and Sky Blue. Argentina went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Dan Ndoye levelled matters for the Red Crosses in the second half and his goal took the match to extra-time. Both sides went into the extra-time half-time levelled at 1-1. Julian Alvarez restored the lead for the defending champions. Lautaro Martinez added the third goal and also sealed the win for the White and Sky Blue. With this match result, Norway have been eliminated and Argentina are through to the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup.
