Croatia 1-1 Brazil, Education City Stadium
Both sides failed to find the back of the net after ninety minutes of football and the match went into the extra-time. Neymar opened the scoring for the Little Canary. Brazil went into the extra-time halftime break leading by 1-0. Bruno Petković levelled matters for the Vatreni on the second half of the extra-time and took the match to penalties. Croatia won 4-2 on penalties. With this match result, Croatia became the first nation to book the semi-finals spot of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Netherlands 1-1 Argentina, Lusail Stadium
Nahuel Molina opened the scoring for the White and Sky Blues and it was his first goal for Argentina. Argentina went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Lionel Messi doubled the lead for the White and Sky Blues through the penalty spot. Wout Weghorst reduced the deficit for the Orange. Wout Weghorst completed his brace and levelled for the Orange. The match went into extra-time but the scoreline remained unchanged. Argentina won 4-3 on penalties. With this match result, Argentina will face Croatia in the first semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on 13 December 2022 at Lusail Stadium.
