Train Mokhabi opened the scoring for the Hammer Boyz on the first half and it was his first goal for the club. Janovane September levelled matters for the visitors and it was also his first goal for the club. Temptation Chiwunga restored the lead for the host through the penalty spot. Vusimuzi Mncube extended the lead and also secured the victory for the Hammer Boyz. Muzomuhle Khanyi reduced the deficit for the Spirited Ones in the dying minutes. Four were scored on the second half. With this match result, JDR Stars secured their Nedbank last 32 spot for the first time in the club’s history.
