Ayabulela Maxwele opened the scoring for the Royals on the first half and it was his first goal for the club. Thendo Mukumela levelled matters for the Urban Warriors on the second half. With this match result, Dylan Deane registered his first point this season as the head coach of Cape Town Spurs.

Vusimuzi Mncube opened the scoring for the host. An own goal by Christopher Komane increased the lead for the Hammer Boyz. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Lehlohonolo Mtshali pulled one back for Ezenkosi on the second half and it was his also first goal for the club. With this match result, JDR Stars ended their four matches winless run.
