
The reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies scopped most of the Awards at the Hollywoodbets Super League end of the season awards held in Sandton Convention Center on Saturday afternoon.
Banyana Ba Style won the league for the third consecutive year since its inception in 2019.
Boitumelo Rabale bagged Player of the seas the much anticipated accolades. The Lesotho international was instrumental in the Brazilians reaching the final when they were campaigning for the Women’s Champions League in Morocco recently.
Rabale was nominated with her teammate and Banyana Banyana international Bambanani Mbane and Busisiwe Ndimeni of TUT.
Meanwhile the Sundowns Coach Jerry Tshabalala who steered Sundowns into the back to back to back victory and reaching the final of the Women’s Champions League won the coach of the Season award. He was against UWC Thinasonke Mbuli and TUTs coach Lucky Sibiya.
Nthabiseng Majiya the last seasons player of the season again this year she was nominated with the her teammate at Richmond United Michelle Sampson and JVW Cimone Sauls. Majiya won the award yet again.
Regirl Ngobeni couldn’t get her hands on the Goalkeeper of the season accolade as Katlego Moletsane of Bloemfontein Celtic bagged the awards for her outstanding work goalkeeping for the Durban side as they will be renamed next season as Royal AM.
Nompumelelo Nyandeni once again proved to be the best striker in the Super League as she won for the second successful season the Top goal scorer award with 30 goals in the season, three more than the last season as she was joint with Andisiwe Mgcoyi with 27 goals.
The players and coaches were not the only people who were awarded for top tie performance as the officials were also recognized, Amogelang Masiza was announced as the assistant referee of the season while Hloniphile Msezane was named the referee of the season.
