Matome Mathiane opened the scoring for Abafana Besithende. Tapelo Xoki levelled matters for Usuthu. Usuthu took the lead for the first time in this match through Tshepang Moremi. AmaZulu FC went into halftime break leading by 2-1. Lehlohonolo Majoro increased the lead for Usuthu. Nduduzo Sibiya pulled one back for Abafana Besithende through the penalty spot. With this match result, AmaZulu FC secured their final spot and the defending champions were eliminated.

Judas Moseamedi opened the scoring for the Team of Choice. Ryan Rae increased the lead for the Team of Choice. Razeen Bennett extended the lead for the Team of Choice. Maritzburg United were into halftime break leading by 3-0. Razeen Bennett completed his brace and also further extended the lead for the Team of Choice. Asanda Buthelezi further extended the lead for the Team of Choice. Tebogo Reed pulled one for the Royals through the penalty spot. With this match result, Maritzburg United secured their first spot against AmaZulu FC and Royal AM were eliminated.

Maritzburg United went into halftime break leading by 2-1. Siphelele Mthembu levelled matters for Usuthu. Maritzburg United won 5-3 on penalties. With this match result, Maritzburg United crowned 2021 KZN Premier’s Cup champions and Phumlani Ntshangase lifted his first trophy as the captain of Maritzburg United.
