Luckyboy Mokoena has passed away on Tuesday after succumbing to illness.
Mokoena was of the players who have been instrumental in the promotion of Highlands Park from National Division (now called (Motsepe Foundation Championship) to ABSA Premiership (now called DStv Premiership) with the likes of Mothobi Mvala, Peter Shalulile and others under the guidance of coach Owen Da Gama few seasons back before the club’s Premier Division status was sold to TS Galaxy.
After parting ways with TS Galaxy, he went to join Sekhukhune United for the period of six months and Mokoena was last spotted training with Royal AM.
