Both sides went into the halftime break levelled at 0-0. Emile Witbooi opened the scoring for the hosts. Therlo Moosa doubled the lead for the Citizens. Jaedin Rhodes tripled the lead for the hosts. Therlo Moosa completed his brace and also sealed the win for the Citizens. With this match result, Cape Town City FC are now unbeaten in their last three matches for the first time in this division and also ended the five-match unbeaten run of Lerumo Lions.
