Lehlohonolo Mojela opened the scoring for the Stellies. Monnapule Saleng levelled for the Buccaneers on the stroke of halftime break. Both sides went into halftime break levelled at 1-1. The Sea Robbers took the lead for the first time in this match through Tshegofatso Mabasa. Relebohile Mofokeng added the third goal and also sealed the win for the Buccaneers. With this match result, Orlando Pirates crowned 2024 MTN8 champions and also became the first team in the PSL era to win this trophy in three years in a row.
