Marc Van Heerden opened the scoring for the Citizens. Ashley Du Preez levelled matters for the visitors. Both sides went into halftime break levelled at 1-1 scoreline. Edson Castillo netted a winner for Amakhosi on the dying minutes of the second half and it was his first goal for the club. With this match result, Molefi Ntseki registered his first victory as the head coach of Kaizer Chiefs.
