Peter Shalulile opened the scoring for the hosts. Themba Zwane increased the lead for the Brazilians. Bernard Parker reduced the deficit for visitors. Mamelodi Sundowns went into the halftime break leading by 2-1. Khama Billiat levelled matters for Amakhosi on second half. The match went into extra-time and the scoreline remained unchanged. Mamelodi Sundowns won 2-1 on penalties. With this match result, Mamelodi Sundowns secured their semi-final spot and Kaizer Chiefs have been eliminated.

Lehlohonolo Majoro levelled matters for Usuthu. Mduduzi Mdantsane netted a winner for the Citizens. With this match result, Cape Town City FC are through to the semi-finals and AmaZulu FC have been eliminated.
