Thapelo Mokobodi opened the scoring for the Buccaneers and it was his first goal for the club. Gamphani Lungu doubled the lead for the hosts. The home side went into the halftime break leading by 2-0. Kamogelo Sebelebele tripled the lead and also sealed the win for the Buccaneers in the second half. With this match result, Orlando Pirates are through to the 2026 MTN8 final on 4-0 aggregate and Sekhukhune United have been eliminated at the 2026 MTN8.
