Thabiso Kutumela tripled the lead for the hosts. Thabiso Kutumela completed his brace and also increased the lead for the Brazilians. Lebohang Maboe extended the lead for the hosts. Andile Jali sealed the win for the Brazilians. With this match result, Mamelodi Sundowns returned to the winning ways after suffering a shock defeat in the DStv Premiership against Maritzburg United on 5 March 2022.
