Orlando Pirates came up against Swallows FC on Saturday afternoon at the Orlando Stadium.
The first half was dominated by the Buccaneers, who pulled away out of the blocks really rapid through a Eva Nga goal. That was drilled away within the box to take the early lead due to Kabelo Dlamini’s persistence.
The Dube Birds went into the half time break, licking their wounds with nothing to show. Leaving Waseem Issacs alone upfront with no support whenever he had the ball.
The second half the started a lot better by keeping possession and creating small chances here and there. But it never seemed like Pirates were ever under threat.
The improvement was clear from a Orlando Pirates perspective because there was way more energy to win the ball back roght after they lost it. The Birds however have made a lot of changes and will need to find their mojo as soon as possible, if they are gonna be competitive this season.
