The Copper Queens took the lead for the first time in this match through Racheal Kundananji. Barbra Banda completed his brace and also added the third goal for the Copper Queens. Nguenar Ndiaye completed his brace and also pulled one back for the Lionesses of Teranga through the penalty spot. With this match result, Zambia and Senegal won and lost their first match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Merveille Kanjinga opened the scoring for the Leopards. Ghizlane Chebbak equalized for the Atlas Lionesses. The Atlas Lionesses took the lead for the first time through Ghizlane Chebbak. Morocco went into the halftime break leading by 2-1. Flavine Mawete levelled matters for the Leopards. Ghizlane Chebbak completed her hat-trick and also restored the lead for the Atlas Lionesses. Yasmin Mrabet added the fourth goal and also sealed the win for the Atlas Lionesses through the penalty spot. With this match result, Morocco won their first match of 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
