Abdul Hamisi Suleiman (Sopu) opened the scoring for the Taifa Stars through the penalty spot. Tanzania went into the halftime break leading by 1-0. Mohamed Hussein doubled the lead and also sealed the win for the Taifa Stars on the second half. With this match result, Yakoub Suleiman kept a clean sheet for Tanzania.
