Both sides went into halftime break levelled at 0-0. Taariq Fielies netted a winner for Usuthu on the dying minutes of the second half. With this match result, AmaZulu FC ended their three-match winless run in all competitions and Usuthu also ended the three-match unbeaten run of Durban City FC in all competitions.
