Mozambique went into the halftime break leading by 2-1. Diogo Calila added the third goal for the Mambas. Alex Moucketou-Moussounda added the second goal for the Panthers. With this match result, Gabon have now registered AFCON back to back defeats and Mozambique made history by their first AFCON victory.

Both sides went into the halftime break levelled at 0-0. An own goal by Saul Coco secured a victory for the Falcons of Jediane in the second half. With this match result, Equatorial Guinea have been eliminated at 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and Sudan ended their AFCON two-match losing streak.
